Bonkers RX8 with 408 at the wheels

Post by jondkent »

Hi,

This caught my eye whilst killing time in WH Smiths and looking at Performance Japanese. A bridge ported, turbo charged Renesis pushing at 408whp :o . Pretty impressive, especially as most people would consider those figures impossible with a Renesis engine.

Details here: http://www.speedhunters.com/2018/04/dea ... tock-sema/

Enjoy,
Jon

They are saying it has covered 1000 miles in testing so sounds strong enough

Doing 1000 miles doesn't tell you very much. I'd be fairly sure that most of those 1000 miles were done at low boost. The headline power is impressive, but how often do they actually run the engine at 19psi? I'm not taking anything away from the build though. If it does what they say then it's a great achievement for a Renesis.
