1 year of ownership

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of owning my RX8, and it’s been a great year of many beeps, occasional sideways action, flames and that one time I got pulled over (we’ll gloss over that). Thank you to everyone that’s helped me both on here, and in person!

It's a constant itch that you can never scratch enough.. good man.. I'm heading for year 5 of ownership with mine, seems like yesterday that I picked her up from Huddersfield What a car

Actually 2009 plate Dan that I picked up end of 2013, but didn't drive her away until Feb 2014.. she only had 15k on the clock.. so, well chuffed as you would expect and she's now just turned 61k.. where did I put all those miles on?
She is a keeper and I can't see me ever letting her go .. glad you're enjoying yours

The miles just fly by! ‘56 plate here, picked it up with 58k on the chassis, 3k on the the engine and now she’s on 68k!

strange how insuring the 8 with 1 years ncb is only 30 quid more than my deisel rover 75 with full ncb?

I was thinking of doing a similar post, as in December I can call myself a ''two year old RX-8 owner''. There's a saying that its not a car, its an experience. Its a princess that wants s**t done and you're not only ok with that, you get so happy and excited about it. Before I got my baby I was a bit conflicted to whether I should get a ''normal car'' for fuel efficiency and maintenance costs, or the RX-8...but... I took a leap of faith, as I dreamed of this car since I was 13. In 2 years of owning it, it never let me down on the side of the road and it never made me regret my choice.

Try insuring a 2.8 at 19, that was fun

Blew itself to bits after 6 months so I got half my money back

The amount I ended up paying was actually extremely low. But finding someone who would entertain the idea was an extremely long and tedious task.
