September Recall from Mazda
While checking online today with the DVLA for my MOT end date I noticed that my car shows and outstanding recall dated today’s date (8th Sept).
Anyone got any ideas what this is for, plan to call Mazda Monday to find.

Re: September Recall from Mazda
The date is just when the database was checked, e.g. today.
The recalls is, almost certainly, the fuel tank, as per all this discussion since February

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Ah ok.. don’t recall seeing it before I got the car unless I was being blind!
I’ll give them a call on Monday and see what the crack is.

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Well yeh, but having emailed my enquiry to my local dealer twice with no response I guess they don't really want to do the work so who do you then trust?

Unfortunately you are at the mercy of a Mazda dealer as only their "Qualified Technicians" have the expertise to give you your car back in a worst state than when it went in to repair your car to the acceptable standard!

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Not sure to be honest.
Relates to the drivers side airbag it says.
Its the first recall for airbag I have had in the year I have owned the car.

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Mazda techs would still probably tell you they had done it.
Now a distant memory unfortunately.

Re: September Recall from Mazda
I had a Mazda Service document for my 8 (previous owner) that shows that Romford Mazda checked the power steering fluid level and the cam belt tension.
They also charged nearly £300 for supply and fitting new spark plugs, which was also a lie.

Re: September Recall from Mazda
I would love to know how many owners of all makes have paid for a plug change that was never carried out - I have come across 3 examples (2 Fords & 1 Vauxhall) that had never had the plugs changed that were paid for.
My RX-8 had to have the air con` filter and Diff` oil changed they were not done - the service managers excuse " Their parts man hadn`t supplied their wait for it "Master Technician" with the parts so their "Master Technician" didn`t do it.
The service receptionist managed to charge me OK though!

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Mine took less than a day for them to do the replacement suspension arms, Fuel tank and airbag replacement.
Can't tell if the fuel tank or airbag was done, but I can see the new lower arms

Re: September Recall from Mazda
Had another letter about mine... No idea which ones for mins as was off the road a while before I owned it. It creates enough problems for itself without Mazda "helping"
