Coolant leak
Just now I though I was sorting a coolant leak by tightening up the radiator drain screw but when doing so the head of the screw came off. I'm looking for the next step suggestions please. little worried on how to get the remainder of the screw out Still not sure where the leak is coming from and pics are the wrong way round

Re: Coolant leak
Heat up the end of your screwdriver and push it into the remaining broken off bit. Let the plastic cool and then undo it to get it out. A new plug will be required.
Leak could be from almost anywhere, but I would check the hoses onto the rad first. Check for damage and also check the clips are doing their job.
Could just be the rad itself leaking if it's not the hose connections

Re: Coolant leak
or an easy-out, but both those options would generally cost money if you dont already have them!

Re: Coolant leak
Just had a coolant leak myself that I couldn’t find. It turned out the expansion tank had become brittle allowing the cap to move under pressure spewing coolant all over the engine bay.

Re: Coolant leak
Yeah, drain plug is PLASTIC with a very good rubber washer so don't go mad. Even a screwdriver will overdo it.
Not sure what the thread is, but probably drill a small hole and attack it with a screw removal tool or left hand tap.
