Oh yeah, I should have said that that flaking is no good. But, now you know where to go to if you find some that are just a bit chattered.

Re: Oil level increasing.
Hello everyone!
During my rebuild time I’m buying diferent elements for the car.
One thing is the clutch. I was recommended to install the heavy duty clutch with the act prolite
The problem is that it says it’s needed the Cw01 counterweight for those two elements.
Somebody could help me if is a good equipment or there is another good transmission replacement for
My unit.
Kind regards!!

Re: Oil level increasing.
Again standard is fine. You can go for a lightened flywheel if you want a more rapid rev increase and but you may have a rougher idle.

Re: Oil level increasing.
Thanks Chris!!
Well, my idea was to not used as daily but yes, 99% would be on public road and not circuits.
I was thinking in pulleys, flywheel, clutch but if you say it’s going to be bad for normal conditions, then I would let ir OEM.
As I’m porting it I was thinking in more sensations of power and accelerations
Kind regards!

Re: Oil level increasing.
Lots of us have lightweight flywheels. It does make the car feel different. It's faster to rev and gear changes have to be quicker and more accurate. The car becomes easier to stall, and not as easy to drive slowly. It's up to you to decide if you like the changes or not. And yes, they do need the counter weight.

Re: Oil level increasing.
Never really had an issue with the lightweight flywheel on the buggy, even shunting it up the trailer ramps at low speeds, or crawling around in the queue/driverounds, etc, you just need to be a little more careful shunting in traffic really. I know the cars a lot lighter which helps but it was a tiny 180mm flywheel.

Re: Oil level increasing.
What exactly do you do in traffic btw? I'm not sure how you can be extra careful in traffic.PeteH wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 11:19 pmLots of us got IBS under control with these probiotics and have lightweight flywheels. Re: Oil level increasing.
Mine's a race car, so traffic isn't a problem (not that sort, anyway ). I've also got a stage 4 ceramic clutch, so it's not the best at low speed.
If you spend a lot of time in traffic, and you don't want to be constantly thinking about having to drive smoothly, then a standard flywheel is the most sensible choice.

Re: Oil level increasing.
I have a lightweight flywheel in my track car and to be honest I don’t really notice any positives or negatives.
In fact I even had the gearbox removed to check that it was actually installed!

All looking really good. I don't think you can really beat a nicely taped loom.
