Not surprised. As has been mentioned in this thread, the number that get scrapped, as they are worth more as scrap, is depressing. Good in the short term as 2nd hand parts are cheap but long term not so much.

Loads but there's two on my drive and we're only round the corner from Haywards so they're pretty common around here.

Seems to be quite a few in the suburbs of Cardiff. As I drive around the city a lot with my job. I'll have to start collecting reg numbers. Don't know if there are any members on here around this area??? Answers on a postcard. Perhaps we could do a meet??

Its the same around here in north wales, see loads out on a weekend people must have them as a weekend toy but they seem not intrested in waving, flashing and im pretty sure there not on this forum. Need to start flagging them down and get them on here. We could have big social meet up here but instead there is like me and jph who is still miles away......

Apart from the occasional same S1 parked at the local shopping centre, I almost never see any. In fact I don't think I've ever seen another R3 in the flesh.

I wonder if a minority of owners use their 8 as daily drives these days. Maybe they're increasingly becoming second/weekend/track cars.

mine is at best a weekend toy. Its main purpose in life these days Is gathering dust... Just don't get the time to use it. I'd be surprised if I hit 2000 miles this year.

It would be nice to see a few more on the roads though, perhaps over the summer a few more will come out.

I'm sure the general public wouldn't notice the difference between a Series 1 and an R3

Even rotary nerds sometimes need a second take to be sure, when one flashes passed coming the other way.
