Got to say like my ryobi impact gun....

But recently found the benefits of wobble extension bars {made it easy to get the upper intake bolts out and back)

And pics reminded me that the magnetic dish is mega useful.

Halford professional sockets are pretty good. Keep and eye out for them on special offer.
Got a few Von Haus power tools (couple of sanders, polisher and a 240V rattle gun)
Also anything by Bahco

This is a useful thread

yeah but we're not talking trade use here are we?

all my battery kit is Makita. predominantly because i can get bare tools cheaply due to dads trade accounts.

however for the average joe in his garage, parkside and (even better) ferrex kit is perfectly capable...

I recently purchased a pack of two magnetic dishes... And my god I wish I'd done so earlier... For the £10~ I paid... Completely worth it.. I need to get a bigger one as well at some point too.

thats a good shout, lying under a car doing something fairly complex, its nice to have the magnetic parts dish stuck to the underside of the car in plain view so you can see the socket or bolt you need at a glance and dont have to scrabble around looking for it....

Was an absolute god send with taking the intake off... Definitely would've lost a bolt somewhere if I hadn't used it.

You lot and your fancy trays. I use my pockets and at a pinch will stab bolts into the cardboard I'm laying on.

I found this Draper 30 part organiser fantastically helpful when swapping my engine. Sharpie to mark what I put in the draw and job done.

Cardboard?! I'd struggle to stab bolts into the chip board I use to lie on!

Halfords professional tools are actually surprisingly good, generally I dislike the company but pro tools have a lifetime warranty and they honour it as I managed to snap a tooth off my 3/8" ratchet and they replaced with zero complaints. The socket sets are also really strong, I've abused a few of them knowing they are again under warranty but none have deformed or snapped. (just seen someone else recommended so guess I didn't just get lucky with a good batch)

Also loving all things Ryobi One+ at the moment, especially my impact gun makes everything so much better, wish I had got the brushless one but even so with a 4Ah battery it doesnt struggle on much and if it does should probably be using a breaker bar on it anyway.

Have to recommend this wet and dry vacuum (and wet vacs in general). Last weekend I had to fix a faulty toilet cistern and this came in handy to drain the cistern and suck up a couple of spills. No more wet rags. I really wish I'd know about wet vacs when I replaced my central heating pump in the summer. Now it'll live in my garage as a vac for the cars and any other mucky jobs, saving our new Dyson Animal 2 for the indoor, civilised stuff.

It's on offer at the moment at Toolstation:

£25 ebay special so goodness knows how long it'll last.... But came with two batteries and charger.

Seems okay but yet to see how it performs in anger. 3/8 drive and 60nm of torque allegedly.

Hi
I have just bought a 10 meter retractable air line from Mano Mano it is 39 euro,I thought I would give it a go as it was cheap and had good write up,first impression are good only issues are the pipe is a bit thin if want to run air hungry tools, also pipe to the compressor is to short,up side no more falling over air lines.

What's with the number plate graveyard? Or is it for your James Bond style rotating number plate to give Spectre the slip?
