Nice set of Makitas there Dave, 5.0 Ah should be pretty good too. I'd love a set myself, but not sure I need 18s, a decent 12 would probably do for me.

Got myself the trolley jack in the end too, went for a Sealey:

Yes, 18V 5.0Ah batteries will last ages in those, unless your a tradesman, I'll doubt you'll need second batteries ;)

Good choice on Jack John  . Looks incredibly similar to my Clarke trolley Jack which I've been quite impressed with. I can just about aqueeze it under the rex to get to the central front jacking point and lift the front in one go - but on the bimmer it does require me to very slightly raise the car with a scissor jack before I can get to the lifting point. Worth it though.

EDIT: I see I managed to miss the post about you shortlisting the Jacks and the fact they all look pretty much the same  Oh well, I can now tell you that I'm happy with mine!

Quite right Zippy, Phil has the Clarke one too, and recommends it, so I had to get the same one without it being the same..

Ahh, now the old man has been mumbling about a tool chest trolley thing, that's a decent price too.

Ball bearing drawers is what makes the biggest difference on those cabinets. Just take a feel in machine mart or halfords the difference between friction runners and balls ;)

It's all better than a set of 60's wooden drawers that have swollen with damp, they open like a bank on sundays..

That's a massive bargain, if your local store has any left.

The nearest to me, with any stock is Cookstown @ 43.26 miles

Still worth a run to pick up for me though, definitely a lot closer than 43 miles!

I first went for an ebay cabinet something like US tools it was called, was around £100 but so wobbly and the drawers were crap to.
The above will hopefully be better.

I ended up getting a decent clarke one in Machinemart promotion, know its solid when it arrives on a wooden pallet and is about 70kg lol.
