Re: Engine Survey
None as yet on 39k. However it would be interesting to see a comparison between the R3 and the previous ones to see if the revisions have had any effect?

I've just moved into the top 12 as I hit 80,000 miles.... *

Re: Engine Survey
No rebuild yet & on 46k 2007 S1. Had the car since 34k & second owner. My work means the drive is a mixture of 3-4 hours solid driving to clients or back home (Mon & Thr) & in between usually less than 15 miles (from/to hotel). Always add 160 ml 2T on each tank fill-up. The car is stock from K&N filter & D585's. Was becoming harder to start (long turnover of 3-5 secs before starting) on original ignition kit but after fitting Nutty's D585 coil kit & new IR heat range sparkers she now starts like she's possessed & feels like a new car. #8yoGrinFactor

Re: Engine Survey
Started to show symptoms of rear stat bearing failure and early signs of low compression (taking longer to start when hot). Rebuilt by RR at 68kEverton wrote:No rebuild yet (that I'm aware of). 55k (bought it at 50k), premixing, D585 coils. Starts on the button hot and cold.

Re: Engine Survey
61K & no evidence of a rebuild. No compression test but Nutty Chappy confirms it's still pulling well.
Previous owner said it was mainly used for motorway driving.

Re: Engine Survey
Added another vote for no rebuild yet as my last RX got to 90k and got rebuilt, but now I've got a non-rebuilt R3

Re: Engine Survey
I can't technically vote as I took a punt on a car with little history.
It has apparently had a rebuild/different engine and is currently at 91k, but I don't know when or how many times it has had work.
