Mine is an 05 just hit the 60,000 milestone and the engine is still going fine. New coils plugs and leads ordered for peace of mind though. Gearbox is noisy in 2nd and 4th, don't know if a gearoil change will help or a replacement is on the cards.

I am on engine six #-o  its a bit hard to fill in the survey but the cars only done 90,000K miles 9.75 years old. 3 old blown engines, 2 new engines 1 rebuild, I have still got two working engines one in the car the second is part of my of the second supercharger build also looking on getting a second hand gear box so I have a full transmission and engine swap one out one in when the time comes.

max milage engine 3, 49,300 miles with supercharger build

As a data point, I have an 06 231 with 33k miles which compression tested at 7.6 and 7.8 this week. Plugs were changed according to the Mazda time schedules before I bought it and oil changed no longer than 6000 miles apart. Coils changed at 27K.

17k miles, 09 plate, the sweetest thing. (At least, compared to the 4 pot oil burner I was used to.)

Hi and :welcome: oh7r3. You should come and show it off at the Surrey meet in Cobham (first Wednesday of every month http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/vi ... 99&t=59273 ). I don't think we have any other stormy blues there at the moment.

Only thing with the poll is that we might vote no rebuild, but it gets skewed when that rebuild is needed as it will still sit as that vote. So its not really 57% without a rebuild I guess. Not sure of a way around that.

Brought mine with 111,000 on, full service history and no mention of a rebuild, doesn't seem to have any hot start issues and pulls like a train, am I seriously lucky or do you think a rebuild has been hidden? Everything under the bonnet looks good
