About half of all participants so far have experienced a rebuild during their ownership! This isn't great news for our claims of reliability....

35k, No rebuild.

Car is completely standard but regularly serviced.

03 plate with 82k on the clock. Whole New Engine at 48k due to Mazda dealer servicing putting in the wrong oil

2005, 52k, no rebuild. Compression average of 6.6. Premixed since 51k. No sohn.

35k from new. No rebuild.

SOHN still to fit but pre-mixing with motul 710 from 35k.

I suspect that bad rebuilds are muddying the pure first rebuild statistics?

P.S. I like the engine cost per mile calculation, a great idea.

69k (inc 40 "hard" trackdays), no rebuild, never compression tested, starts hold and cold without any hesitation.
