Crikey I dread to think of what some of your filters look like if that isn't considered filthy.
The pollen filters you took out Smutty don't look carbon activated, are the new ones that you put in? It's a good idea especially if you drive the kids around.
Remember to be gentle putting those filters in if they have a cardboard border and not a plastic one like the more expensive filters do. Squishing them during fitting creates gaps.

The air filter isn't carbon activated:

The cabin filters are. And they have the plastic surround. The old ones were flimsy cardboard.

Just got a bill for £680 for all the welding that needed doing and the front braided brake hoses that I didn’t want to touch because the bolts were seized and rounded
Ah thats a fair amount of labour work then. Probably not too much of an actual bill when you think about it I guess? Their time at whatever rate plus materials etc. Still its ouch. Almost as good as my £500 clutch change last year... (Not including the clutch).

Yeah they were going to charge £400 for the welding on the rear wheel well but I think the guy felt bad for me because I’m young and poor so he dropped it a bit
Personally I'd go less of a yellow gold and more of a brassy red gold with a green car. It'd be a bit more subdued but should look a little nicer I think. Especially as nordic green is quite a dark colour.

I was also thinking of a matt gold - possibly textured

Out with the Bridgestones RE05A's at the front (2015) and S001's at the rear (2016) and in with the uniroyal rainsport 5's in 235/40/18 all around. Got an alignment done as well, turns out it was a bit out. Alignment guy said you done something to the bottom of the car ? It's all oily ? I sheepishly said yes, rust proofed it. He said phew, I thought you had a major oil leak....
Wheels look a bit different with the sidewalls bulging out a bit more and I think the car sits lower, but maybe I just think that as I know it's lower profile. Didn't get much of a drive so far, and of course they will need to be scrubbed in, but definitely feel softer so far than my Bridgestones over bumps. Interested to see how they feel once they are fully up to grip.
P.S. I know the car needs a wash but it's raining all weekend so I'll get to that shortly....

Painted the rears!
Also I should say I bought a cheap impact driver £58 as taking wheels on and off isn't good for my lungs and it was so much easier apart from smacking my finger nail undoing calliper

Not the 8 but my van vivaro 1.9 this light came on and off randomly due to snapped wire to left injector and running as if on 2 cylinders. started coming on and off again wire OK not as rough also another fault is when first started there isn't any throttle response for a minute then starts coming back slowly? Any ideas
Not my dash!
