Finally started on my watercooled lights project, if all goes to plan I should have some of the brightest lights in the UK (on a car with stock housings not a lightbar).
I'm using a Cree xhp70.2 emitter, demo of it in action here You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Modding day on Saturday as today a box of cosmetic parts arrived on the door step also my modded rear end is over at spyder cars peterborough with the sprayer should have the rear end parts back soon.... new rear camera and rear lower reverse sensors almost wired in I fitting them to the lower defuser but will unplug and fit to my trailer when needed so it shows how close it get when reversing back up to a kerb ......
As you can see the defuser is a little Low when fitted this is the old version rear end just some subtle mods being done to the New Rear end and making the defuser and easy to remove to get my trailer on and off the defuser need to be able to be removed with in two mins max..

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
"Direct replacement" yes, but only after swaging the correct flare onto the existing pipes! So if your fitting braided lines check the seat in the union matches the flare on the existing pipe.Dave2112 wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 4:58 pmFinally got my HEL braided brake lines fitted today (massive thanks to Chris Holmes for helping/doing most of it) beers and a meal on me at the next meet. Excellent bacon butties in cheesy buns and endless coffees helped keep us going.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Picked car up from having re-build at Rotary Revs.
Really missed it, feels great but weird not being able to go over 5000 revs.
Happy days.

That’s good.
We are both going to be very old (older) by the time it comes back.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Fixed my power steering again
I was a bit more methodical this time. Cleaned the connector to the torque sensor on the steering rack, no joy. Cleaned the white connecter nearest the battery, no joy. Cleaned the two grey connectors under the air filter tray, and hooray, power steering is back. So in my case it defo seems to be one of those two grey connectors. Next time I'll clean one, then test it.

Fitting exhaust shields and painted up the surround. Not the best paint job I've ever done tbh, may replace.
