Cleaned out the air injection valve, mostly for something to do!
Pete.
Sold up, but did have fun with a 192, leather, sat-nav, crest, strakes, grilles, Toyo 'zorst, 6 speed 'box, anthracite wheels, bonnet struts, K&N, debadged boot.

No pistons or boobies, but still expensive.....

Driven the Rex for the first time in 2 weeks after being on holiday, started straight away although the brakes had stuck on, but a few extra revs and we were off. I'm so glad to be home!!!!

Not been anywhere near the RX-8 today :(

@Monstercooke : Next time just pump the brakes with the Brake Peddle & then the brakes will release without that clicking griending sound :) ,I do this all the time, after not using the RX-8 for a week :!:

Just leave it in gear with the handbrake off (a parked car should always be left in gear anyway) if its been left for any period of time, it's a lot easier the having to free seized brakes.

Gave it a full valet (with leather treatment of course!) and machine polish with a wax after
Then an oil change.
All the other filters & plugs are sitting in my drawer and should hopefully be done when I can next afford to pay the congestion charge and bring it to work with me...
Oh the joys of London

Interior looks good as new though :)

we went to a place called Beldibi, about 1 hr from Antalya in Turkey. Had a brilliant time weather was mid 40's most days.

GSB / greenone
Thanks for the advice, as where i live and where I park my car is completely flat, I think next time i have to leave my car for any length of time i will leave the handbrake off and leave it in gear, i hate that clunk sound when the brakes release.

I leave my car in 1st gear & with the handbrake off :!: & before I drive off, just pump the brakes briefly & then there is no clunking :P
