Removed this during the week and got it outside for a pressure wash before stripping it.

Got hold of acrylic light pipe with a laser light source so gonna redo my S1 lights as it's been five years and technology has moved on, swapped out for lights for R3 homages in the mean time
Left right comparison on just the rear running lights
PXL_20210904_181109350.jpg
Tried a pic with the brakes pressed but it wasn't immediately apparent with the R3 lights so thinking of having just one circle illuminated with the running lights then both when the brake is pressed, the light pipe should with some heat application make the modded S1 lights one continuous light rather than the gap between the circle and two lights like currently (old pic same car different reg)

Changed the engine mounts - that took longer than expected 😂

Gave her a good wash. Then headed ‘down south’ - nice long run, and have 275 miles on the trip with 1/4 of a tank left.
300 club here I come 😊👍

Looking at the floor I presume that you have got the garage finished now.

The garage is done inside, I still need the roof tiling. I'll post a picture somewhere soon.

Finally managed to get my GoPro hooked up to racecrono on my satnav pi android monstrosity.

Turns out, that if I don't use the blue bottom battery's remote preview won't work, if remote preview won't work racecrono won't detect the camera.

Today I learnt I have 2 hero 8 blue bottom battery's and 2 other gopro battery's.

Fitted some Climair wind deflectors, dead easy to fit, took a couple of minutes at most :D

Did the "mouse mat mod" to the nearside oil cooler.

Changed the cabin air filters, my God!! They were disgusting! complete with a layer of leaf litter on top of them! I should be able to breathe easier inside the car now :)

Relocated the front number plate from the front grille to low/nearside, the guide on this forum helped a lot :D

Removed rear light and hopefully sorted the condensation issue going on inside it.

Get yourself a set of the uprated seals from Essex rotary - did that to mine after cleaning and thoroughly drying them out and there hasn't even been a suggestion of condensation since. We've had a few good torrential downpours in that time too.

Completely agree those seals are excellent no misting at all since installing 👍😎

Silicone sealant ;)
That’s ok until you try to remove the light at a later date. If you spray the paint surface with silicone spray then offer up the light unit with the sealant on it it will seal but not bond to the panel.

Remember to keep the gap in the middle clear as that's the drain for the boot gutter.

Muck blocking this drain is the most common cause of water inside the lights and/or wet boot carpets
