Drift car is Essex Rotary's. Aston is your man there for servicing your RX8. Top place!

I had my alloys fully stripped and painted c18 months ago and the corrosion is bubbling up again. Apparently it's to do with the way alloy seems to keep some of the corrosion stuff in the surface and you can never truly remove it all. I told the block that was rubbish and then got the gravel may have chipped the back edge of the spoke and let moisture in! Either way it's a no claim situation but as I have kerbed them a couple if times anyway it's a bit academic!

Did they refurb the whole rim or just the outside?
They didn't do the inside part [that's 'around' the hub I suppose you might say] just what you normally notice. But it''s the bit they did do that I'm disappointed about.

They're Evora from Brake Depot, and as was mentioned earlier by Dan, bought for the look of it more than anything else :D and they're fairly reasonably priced, well I think so.

Slightly crusty 2004 Velocity Red purchased on 15th April 2017.
Planned work - Sills repaired both sides, D585 coils, Magnecor Leads, NGK Spark Plugs, Bosh Battery, Uprated Starter Motor, New Discs and Pads all to be fitted!
Anyone want to buy a slightly used, 27 year old kidney to fund all of this??!!!!

This piece of metal is bolted over the rear offside lamp cluster, behind the boot trim.
Should I have a corresponding one on the nearside, too?

Nope. Apparently it's a theft prevention measure, to stop access to the boot opening mechanism.

Over the weekend changed the rear brake discs (Pagid brand) and pads (Brembo). Also changed the rear coil springs (Sachs brand) as the offside rear had broken! The coils were awkward to say the least but a spring compressor helped in situ. At least it's done :)

ABS and traction control we stuck on this morning. Tried the reset procedure, nope... Didn't work.
Drove to work like a nanny. Asked a mate to tell if my brake lights were working... Nope neither were.
Drove home after work, changed the offside light, tested and yay. I'm happy

Fixed a couple of stone chips with a Mazda touch-up kit. Hoping it looks better when it's dried!

Also did a ridiculous power drift up the road with the DSC off. Slightly overcooked it! DSC back on. :)

Hi and :welcome: gareth_1912. Silver definitely looks better with darker wheels. 8) Next thing you need is protective grilles for the oil coolers and radiator etc if you don't already have them (Lockwood's, Racing Beat or Zunsport do them and club members get a discount from all 3) and strakes. :thumright:

So is it considered a serious [potential] problem, that the oil coolers and radiators are unprotected, as standard?

No, not really. When I hit a pheasant - not that fast - it broke the bit that holds the fog light, so no.
It's like that is it?
