Yeah might do that at some point. That reminds me actually, all the interior lights are really weak LED looking bulbs, is that standard or has a previous owner put some ebay crap in there?

Standard are all more yellow halogens. If there are LEDs, they're definitely aftermarket

The other two or three starts afterwards were absolutely fine. Its done this twice now but not recent enough together really.
Spent a bit of time redoing the drop link I put on last week though. As I was getting a clunking from it. No more clunking thankfully.

Would just go through the basics, clean the MAF and eccentric shaft sensor as these can massively impact starting

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Finally changed out the coils, leads and plugs. Think it feels better pulling through the range now - maybe moisture seep somewhere during 2020 idleness?
It stalled a couple of times coming to a standstill - which I'm putting down to either not having relearned the trims or because I managed to do it without dropping or losing a 10mm nut or socket and some vengeful god wants their penance.
Just in case, what should I do with the spare 10mm socket to appease the spirits?

In fact, as I appear to have not even so much as grazed a knuckle doing the coils and plugs, there's definitely a vengeful god out for retribution. Maybe that will change once the Mrs sees the state of the sink...

Wrap it back up in it's protective silk, say a small prayer and put it back in the safe.

Added a new ground cable from the battery to the chassis as there was a few gremlins seems to have sorted it!

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Yeah no worries I'll grab some photos tomorrow hopefully and explain it
I kinda winged it from what revs said on the phone and what I saw on the NA forum it was pretty easy for me since the air pump was removed so had a "new grounding point" was like a 5 min job if that?

There wouldn't be any fuel shortages if the media hadn't reported on the tiny handful of forecourts that needed to close for a day

Probably the only time Johnson would actually prevent a panic by telling us to withdraw all our money and chuck it under the mattress - god forbid his precious banks suffer!Juey wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 5:00 pmImagine if the media reported that the banks have less than 10% of your money....rotatopotato wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 5:06 pmThere wouldn't be any fuel shortages if the media hadn't reported on the tiny handful of forecourts that needed to close for a day

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
I was working for another major buy-to-let lender at that time - we had the press camped on the pavement outside the office waiting for the ensuing chaos, except we didn't have anybody's savings for them to come and get, and strangely nobody was in a panic rushing to pay off their mortgages!
