So this would be why my exhaust tip is not sitting at all straight... Sadly I won't have funds for a stainless catback for quite some time and I don't see the point in getting a cheapy one... Other than maybe bashing the insides of my cat out since its probably dead anyway. Decisions... New coils come first though!

My mechanic could likely weld it back on he's the type where he's experienced in literally everything. He's just currently on holiday so I'll wait until he gets back and see what he has to say and let you know if I need your old one if thats alright? Muchly appreciated!

Fitted my AEM CAI with the help of my son, it was really straight forward aside from finding rust and having to deal with that before I could progress!

Scotty, while you had the bumper off,it would have been worthwhile removing the headlights too..rust gets a foothold in the apertures ;)

Balls. I wish I had known that. I changed all of the old bolts to stainless ones while I was at it, then I treated nearly every surface with hammerite black tough paint stuff, I used to use it on my past projects and it holds up well. I will no doubt have the bumper off at some point and will have a look behind the headlights.

Don't stress it,buddy ;) It's really only surface rust..I found this out when I dropped the bumper on my R3,in order to swap out the sidelights to LED's - I just used Vactan rust treatment, and a coat of Frost chassis black paint (my car's black, but it wouldn't show anyway) :thumright:

I learnt to drift in a Morris 1000 on crossply tyres.
On a wet roundabout you could go round and round, wheels spinning, on full opposite lock, at little over walking speed, steering with the throttle.

Drove it to Japfest Donington, parked it on the stand, opened all the doors and bonnet and unloaded the gazebo and food, fast forward, reloaded the car closed all the doors and drove home after yet another great day out with the RX8OC
