Taking the car for a run after washing is called "a blow dry".
That's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking to it ;)

Picked up the car having successfully passed an MOT test. 😁
There were two advisories
1 that the clamp in front of the back section of the exhaust is very rusty, and
secondly the back of the car underneath is much more rusty than the front.
Are both of these common problems?

Clamp, yes.

Underneath, where?
Sills, certainly common.
Subframe, yeah but it's a 3mm thick metal box.

Maybe I should have added that [IIRC] he said it didn;t matter about the clamp, as the two parts of the exhaust were so well rusted they weren't going to come apart. :) / :(
I don't think he was concerned about the rusting at the back, just that it was much more evident there than at the underneath of the front of the car. He wondered if it there was a result of changing airflow, smooth at the front, turbulent at the back. He said that he had seen another car show the same effect.

Seeing the emission figures [from the MOT] made me wonder if there are typical figures available for a healthy, well-tuned RX8 engine, and if I can tell anything by comparing my car's with those?

Imagine the rest of the car suffers from more spray and stays wet longer, the heat from the engine, manifold and cat would mean that the front drys quicker, also any oil leaks will reduce corrosion.

---Fast idle---

CO:
0.019 (0.200 max)

HC:
15 (200 max)

---Natural idle---

CO:
0.072 (0.700 max)

So with a healthy engine and cat, plenty low enough.

With a decat.... very, very low as it'll be up the tail pipe of a Tesla or something
