Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
I have nothing to hide and will put my conversation on here if needed and i have not sleighed you on here as you clame at all i am a professional person and say what i feel and i was let down and you have not expained anything to me at all and you charge me money for testing even tho you have no rig yet as if you said to test on another rx8 i would have and done so and still having this problem plus not my fault the coils did not turn up today late in the day after 4.30 pm and refit them and then have them miss firing. After waiting a long time not been keeping me informed to what is going on and explained to me today and now done it on here as i said i was not able to call and you would not discuss to me in message i have not gone on google and left bad feed back or anything else and want to sort this out and resolve it in a good manner and in the way it should have been expand and updated from the start

Looks like there's quite a few distinct layers of paint so could use a rotary polisher with some fine grit discs to get through the first ones and just do the last couple of layers by hand to save time.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
A small job today, but had a rattle coming from my driver's side mirror, a quick tighten was all it needed. While I had the cover off, I noticed it's held directly against the metal door frame which is bound be be causing rattles when the music is up, so took the opportunity to minimise them. Fits much tighter now.
Before: After: Should really get the door card off and do the same behind there - It's gets a bit buzzy with some music on.

Ordered some premix from Opie, usually use Idemitsu from Aston, but his shipping is too expenive now, went for Millers KR2T this time, seems to be good stuff, so why not.

Found the battery was so weak it would only rattle the starter solenoid. Gave it several hours charge, and then took it to do the weekly shop.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Fitted my new RRP MKIII ignition upgrade set, and my RRP 100 Cel CAT. Really impressed with both the quality of the items, and what it's done to the car. It now actually feels like it's got a bit of power, and is so smooth it's like a completely different car! Plus, that rotary sound is much more noticeable through the new CAT, and sounds fantastic, but not intrusive.
A very happy chappie.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Took mine out for bit of a drive today for the first time in a good few weeks.
Went really well, had to wear the surface rust off the discs and took my time warming it up but once out on more favourable roads it seemed to be very good with no hangover from being parked up.
The backend felt a bit loose but that could just be the tyres are past their best.
