Passed its Mot yesterday, and still has the ebay cat on. Surprisingly it hasn't made much a difference to quietening the exhaust like I thought it would -seems its attenuated a note or two but the total 'volume' of sound is still there. Although that could also be the aem intake, that thing whistles like a supercharger 😁

It may not look it in the pictures, but the paint match is about as close as humanly possible with VR 😁

I don't know if it's just the screen I'm viewing on but the red in the second and third shots is so red it actually hurts to look at.

Looks hideous Dan, bet you hate it. ;)

Back on the drive after replacing the engine.
Also new mintex 1144’s all round.
Now I must get to fit the new oil gauges.
Thanks Wayne for the use of your garage and equipment. Image

Started wet sanding the UV aged lacquer off the carbon bonnet I got from pippypip, probably going to take it to paint shop to get some 2k clear coat applied.

Had a good run out to Blackpool and back today just as I was close to home started hearing a metallic rattling noise, not good... turns out I'd picked up a screwdriver that was jammed in my under tray and it was grinding against the road, kind lucky where it was just to the left of my oil cooler / oil lines

I'm saying this again but the pettit catback I'm in love pulling through 1st and 2nd popping and banging at high revs I just love it so much

We once found a jack handle caught in the rear suspension of a members car, that had come over for help changing his brake pads.

It wasn't his handle, as he didn't own a jack, but he had been driving the car for over a year...

Tidied up the wiring in the engine bay from the battery relocation and checked to see whether TPS did map out the SAI pump way back when, I'd forgotten whether I asked for it or not. They have, so blanking plate going on tomorrow. Woo. Temptation to fit a different strut brace is climbing rapidly.

Picked her up from Big Pete and drove the 55 miles into work in just under an hour. Used 1/4 tank of fuel. Don’t think I will be joining the 300 mile club any time soon

You'll miss the Typhoon if you take it out, trust me :(

I've only recently taken mine out because my car was re-tuned with the stock intake with a K&N panel filter. Big mistake that I regret as the previous tune, done with the Typhoon on, was perfect. I'll be putting the Typhoon back in again when this track season ends.

Just get it tuned by RRP :thumleft:
