Decided that today was the perfect day to install some new front upper control arm bushings and springs.... That was before it started bucketing it down.

Let me know if any of you want a diy for it... though it was a giant pain to do on the drive.
Should both large ends be outside as with the bushes you removed.

Added the bumper spoiler I acquired from Ranjan, maybe he knows where it came from.
It’s my original plywood splitter wrapped in gloss black with the extra plastic ends bonded and screwed on the ends. Nothing lavish

Yeah I was in a rush due to the beautiful English weather last week and ended up spending another 20 mins in the rain trying to figure out a way to get the bushing back out without taking the arm back off.

Ended up also putting in some Tein lowering springs so have to find some time to get it booked in for an alignment.

Not the RX8, but a noteworthy milestone in the hardworking daily Volvo V70 2.5 5 cylinder TD, 144444 miles and still has a kick to her, I do love it. Its also such a huge difference to the RX8, heavy and loads of torque as opposed to light and a screamer.

Removed uim to access solenoids, due to massive flat spot from 4-7k(it was so big I thought I was going to set a visit from a flat earther) replaced solenoids, took an hour start to finish, also discovered a small vacuum hose(link pipe) loose under the throttle body so secured that as well. Will take it for a spin shortly just to confirm all is well

So after replacing the solenoids I went for a raz around, and was getting cels and not the performance I was expecting, seemingly same issue, scratching my head for a minute, I go and have a look, I'd only forgotten to plug the connectors in, now, no cels performance has jumped up a bit (Carl had worked some magic last Sunday with the beginnings of a map, but I hadn't felt the full benifit until now, what a difference, would recommend an rrp map)
