Have moved on to my next project, front and rear mudflaps, were fairly fast pink, now sunlight silver, filled, primed and first coat of silver applied. At some point I'm going to have to fit these, along with the aero skirts, managed to download pdf files for oem fitment, any hints and tips? Searched already and there was a post about fitting, but it's no longer available.

Took the RX8 to the garage for repairs and MOT. Needs new drop links, rear coil spring, two tyres and discs and pads. First time driving it since the summer. Total mileage covered since last MOT, 260 miles. Too busy last year to really enjoy it. But me and the wife intend to enjoy it this year

I can't really take credit for "doing" this but managed to fix up a bunch of issues yesterday (credit to Luke Murdoch):
- replace engine mounts
- replace exhaust/cat gasket
- fix oil leak
- fix rear droplinks
- fix rear ns shock
- fix os front ABS wiring
- fix os wing mirror (not pitching up/down)
- replace interior passenger lamp
- fix handsfree kit (mic unplugged :D)
- fit custom plate

Fitted new battery terminals.
Didn't all go to plan as think I've messed up fuel trims.

Removed rear offside light cluster. Dried out the water spots inside with hairdryer. Fitted new gasket which I covered with silicone grease then re-fitted and torqued up.
Hopefully will stay dry this time, third time of doing!
231 now gone, I'm likely to regret it.

So while fitting the front aero splash guard, I couldn't help being nosey and I looked behind the plastic expecting to see rust, all I can say is the rust treatment guy must of got some the night before.

Drove over to meet Gary Deery at Peartree Services, Oxford. Car ran well, fiddled with the EDFC.
Parked for about an hour then set off to 30405's place.
The dreaded rear end vibration returned, like driving with a badly flat spotted tyre you can hea4 and feel it plus the rear spoiler visibly vibrates. After a couple of miles thinking the car would shake itself apart the vibration suddenly stopped!
Hmm! Maybe because the tyres are a few years old the PS rear had “set” with a flat section whilst parked and then once some heat got into the tyre it levelled out.
Anyone experienced anything similar to this?

Failed hub bearing on a BMW 1 series, but that would also appear as suddenly as it disappeared.

Took the rear brakes apart as best I could without a new 'rebuild' kit cleaned everything, put in back together and bleed the brakes. Also, look at and despaired at the amount of corrosion behind the rear arch liners.

Continued with the aero kit install, today was side skirt/deflector day, again I'm surprised at how well my car is resisting the dreaded rust, definately wasn't a Friday car in the rust treatment department.

think you need to put a bit more weight on the front end Chris. Looks like the steering will be light at that angle.
