Would be interesting to see how much they cost from a dealer.
#B002-37-160B @ £7.24 each + VAT (dealer retail)

I would be contacting Big Pete personally, he must have millions of the things!
Indeed :thumleft:
Amazing, thanks guys :thumleft:. I don’t mind spending £35 on 4 new nuts, or less if Big Pete has some in stock ;). Will sort after getting these wretched Mcguard things off.
I have these from Clive and like them. They do the job, are cheap and more importantly are 19mm so you (or a garage worker) are less likely to scuff the wheel. The standard ones are 21mm.

I dunno if he still has any in stock anymore. But might be worth a call or email.

Does anyone know if there are problems with the club shop?
Ordered a Hoodie and some Decals back on 24th May, sent 2 PM's and an email to Ian but no reply.
Am I chasing the wrong guy or are there other problems?
Ian has a lot on, they will arrive and he won't have forgotten about you. A hoodie and tshirt for me arrived last week which I think were ordered early/mid May.

The quality of the new clothing merch is ace :thumleft:

Today I have been testing RRP coils which another specialist slammed and diagnosed as faulty when tuning on the Dyno, subsequently post testing, all the coils were serviceable and working perfectly.

However; the sad bit here is the customer that bought these from RRP lost faith in the coils, and so, sold them on cheaply, believing one had failed quite early into its expected life. These then had to be replaced them with another set.

Please always send your coils back to RRP for testing even if diagnosed faulty by another 'reputable' specialist. In this particular case it appeared that either the leads were allowing water ingress and crud into the terminal, or, the rubber boot on the lead was breaking down falling within the terminal (more likely) this resulted in a coating within the terminal and a very poor connection and probably an intermittent spark. Once cleaned up though the system was back to perfect operation and only took 2 minutes to do. :)

Had a long meeting today to discuss how to deal with seagull issues on Schools whist staying within the law, somehow the local gulls must have got wind and demonstrated their feelings all over 79398 😳
Someone told me once that birds try to poop in water if they can. So if your car is nice and shiny then it looks like a pool of water and encourages them to do their biz on it. I don't know if they were pulling my leg or not but could explain why birds seem to love to go on a freshly cleaned car.

The one bit of rust I can see on my car is on the top, where the paint was damaged after a major bird attack back in like 2011. Took ages to get off and it was the time when the birds were eating those purple berries that really produce some nastiness at the other end. It ate through the paintwork it was that bad.

Someone is pulling your leg or mistaken, never heared of birds trying to look for water before letting go, they often use it as a defence if under attack or to deter predators.
Got marks on my roof too, one reason it's getting wrapped.

Just had an air con specialist round to look at all three of my cars. Both of my other, fancier, cars had issues but not the 8! It's never had an air con service and it's still blowing 6 degrees celcius.

Mr Air Con said it's great and didn't need touching :thumleft:

So basically they are just doing it on purpose! Ironically I think if I saw the said offending birds I'd be attacking them and they'd poop even more and I'd exacerbate the problem.....

Wrap sounds like a great idea to protect the roof.

I would have had you take a look at them myself, but our PMs and previous encounters have never filled me with anything resembling confidence.
A simple inspection would have ascertained that crud was causing an issue with the coil, if the engineer had taken the time to look then this would have been obvious!

With regards to Mazda coils they are worthless to us, we don't use or sell them, The offer made (£10 each coil) against them show's really that we didn't really want them which we made clear. For us they'd probably end in the bin or sold on at cost to someone whom was desperate for coils that could not stretch to RRP ones. In the end you kept them as spares which was the right thing to do.

With regards to the coil warranty, as a lot of company's mistake the RRP coils as having the same characteristics as D585 they tend to dwell them in the same manner. If a really aggressive map is used then it can cause damage to the coils, you would be operating over and above their intended design. In our many conversations I requested these be returned to us for testing, the issue above generally tells within a certain part of the coil and easy to spot (I have done plenty of testing!!)

Had the coils been returned then I would have confirmed no misuse and would have cleaned up the required connector and returned 4 serviceable coils to you, with the only expense your end being return postage cost (as these were not faulty). If the any coil is found faulty then return post is FOC within the UK.

I also provide video footage of the testing procedure to those that return coils as can be backed up by the members of this forum.

How many times have you had to return RRP coils FOC within the UK as they were faulty? What's your policy for faulty coils found for your overseas customers?

Haha really? Is the CAT resonated or a non resonated version? Just goes to show how free flowing that CAT is.

The newer versions with a resonator do tone it down a bit although the CAT itself is the same

Only snag was bleeding clutch. Pedal stuck on floor issue.. But that can be sorted another day.

Yeah the RB cans work well, the CAT with a resonator would be on par, I suspect the new DeCAT with the new Resonator muffler combo to be better still.

No other company has 'slammed' anything, just said that it wasn't working and for me to do what I want with it.
Never lost faith in the coils, just in yourselves after learning that I didn't need your coils to begin with, and that there was an attempt to have me over for my near brand new Mazda ones for a tenner.

In the end you kept them as spares which was the right thing to do.
That's crazy. I don't remember seeing you there to make an even better offer than Scott. You don't honestly think for a second that you'd sell off brand new C Rev coils at a loss from £10, do you?

With regards to the coil warranty, as a lot of company's mistake the RRP coils as having the same characteristics as D585 they tend to dwell them in the same manner. Your approach to requesting them back in our singular conversation wasn't the most welcoming, to put it lightly. Besides, I got what I believed them to be worth with potential for a more serious fault (which it wasn't in this case), and your roundabout wording for them not being under warranty.
