What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Can anyone help I just started car today after 6 months being in garage for winter. Car started and drove fine for ten mins now when I press the clutch it's squeaking every time and gears are getting stiffer. Nipped too a garage mechanic said it sounded like a pivot arm from inside gearbox that means it needs too be dropped I asked if it could be clutch and he said no. So my question is I know auto boxes require fluid but do the manual boxes need it as well and if so is there a tutorial on how to check gearbox level and what oil too use. Thanks in advance for all help

@leeforrest316, tryTHIS. It is the guide I used to change my oil. Its pretty straight forward. Just make sure and note the differences between the 6 speed box and the 5 speed box, and DON´T pull the drain plug unless you have replacement oil! don´t want to be left with an empty gear box!!

I have a load of washers in the shed but wasn’t sure what size I needed. I’ll check if I got the right ones, if not will let you know.

I found the treats when I unpacked the box

Had a spirited drive home from work with the windows down

Changed gearbox oil for redline mt 90, removed corroded strakes and began to sand them down ready to polish and lacquer, got the car washed, then waxed it ready for the Midlands meet tonight. Fairly busy day doing nothing.

Double oil change,fixed the pesky air bag light,had battery and alternator tested,battery goosed but alternator is fine,MAF cleaned and new sidelight led bulbs plus one or two other bits and bobs done so all in all a pretty good maintenance day all round

Swapped out all my fuses for the ones that light up when they go, and replaced the drivers side window washer jet.

Edit: As a testament to the power of suggestion. During the cold weather, Rach has been switching on the heated seat and commenting on how warm it was with the little light in the switch showing. Whilst at the same time, I was saying I think mine must be broken. Today I found out that the heated seats fuse is blown.
