So I popped down to rx motors for a brake calliper and ended up coming back with some seats.....

You may find the RX8 seats more comfortable

Yeah probably but I think this will be a compromise between a bucket and the normal seats

Front lower arm adjusters were seized and top bushes were splitting as were several of the rear arm bushes on the T200 Subframes which I have refurbished.
The front lower arm adjusters on RR54 are solid as are the rear ones so I thought sod it and have rebushed them all.

In the process of removing the original bushes I found that whilst looking sound several had actually started to separate inside.
If the polybushed arms are crap or wear rapidly then I should still have a full set of original bushes arms as back up.

Drove her to work for the first time since being told to work from home again...
Even took her out for a half hour pleasure drive at lunch time.

Broke my brake line banjo bolt while doing my rear calliper.... and apparently no where has them so I will have to wait for one to come from amazon tomorrow. Tried phoning up my local Mazda parts department but no one answered and had the joy of going through the switch board like 5 times before giving up

Checked the drain on the battery as I was worried about it being too high. Came out at 55mA which Dave informs me is the high side of normal... Also gave the battery a charge up again to 12.7V. And thought to check the amount of oil in the car since I hadn't done so since sitting it up last year... Admittedly the engine was cold but the amount of oil was down at the minimum line. Appropriately filled it a bit more and will check when the cars warm where its sitting.

The rainex brand does a screen wash that's works well has the upside of coating your wipers as well

Last time I checked, the RainX screenwash wasn't safe to use on polycarbonate headlights, so not a good idea with a 231.
Might be worth re-checking their website to see if it's changed.

Went for a spirited drive since it's payday! literally burning away money xD, My hot starts seem to be getting a tad worse about 5 seconds to turn over atm but can be up to 8, looks like south Yorkshire is going into lockdown Saturday so my appointment with Rotary Revs might not happen on the 7th

For anyone interested, this is one of the current starting issues and was one of the better ones

Yes, you'd expect a connector problem to be HIGHRES not LOWRES.

Yeah it’s going to be fun to try and sort, car was booked in for an mot at 9am tomorrow but looks like that’s not going to happen anymore

So the last owner of this car who installed the android tablet has created a rats nests of wires and has made so many dodgy spliced connections which I now have to go through to see if he has hit a wire...


These bad connections continue everywhere I look and makes me wonder why wouldn’t you just solder or use t connectors if you are going to go through the effort of wiring up a tablet install..
