Just so you know Jetex offer that very same CAT direct from their website at a much reduced price.
That's interesting Carl.

Do you happen to know if it's the same as this one?

I'm also interested in this, as I'll need to replace my ghetto decat sometime before the next MOT.
Both Rotary Revs and MRP used to offer Type Approved cats that were more free flowing than OEM, but neither currently have them in their stores.

Apart from RRP, the only other one I'm aware of is from Aston @ ER
http://essexrotarystore.com/product/ess ... converter/#

It may he more free flowing that OEM (maybe) but does not compare to the MRP, Pettit or RRP CATs which are all 3 inch SS.

We are releasing a new improved version and will be the only provider offering SS316 as well as all tig welded joins :)
Hi Karl, When do you think the RRP 200 cel cat will be in stock?

I do not know to be honest, maybe......... :-k

The Jetex one can be found here: https://jetex.co.uk/direct-fit-standard ... s/products

£220 for that CAT seems a bit more reasonable and inline with what it delivers rather than £400!

Didn't you have a brand new CAT fitted not that long ago?

You're realistically looking at Late November early December this year, we have a new full exciting exhaust line up Mid and Rear all being released at the same time. :)

Yes, about a year ago. Not sure why you are asking, but in case it was because you wanted details of it:

It was from Euro Car Parts, this is the one.

https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/react-ca ... -724680060

Actually got it for a discount so around £140 in the end !!

ECP were good enough to tell me who actually made it, so I'm pretty happy with it. Not sure if I should share on here, as maybe ECP told me in confidence, but full details are on the members section on the rebuild - take two thread. Comes with 2 years warranty, E9-103R type approval and follows the same OE part number as the Jetex one. N3H82055XD / N3H82055XE / N3Y22055X / N3Y22055XA. I think a few manufacturers do which as I understand it means they have the same backpressure / catalytic properties etc as OEM. Not sure what differences would then be between a Jetex, Klarius, Walker etc.

Edit: Just to add, mine is running really well, so I would recommend it so far from my years experience of it, but of course YMMV.

I removed the goldfish from the rear lights and made use of wife and daughter's hairdryers for half an hour (on the clusters, not on myself). Thought I'd done a great job until the next cool night and the fogging appeared.

Guess what I am doing in the summer of 2021...?

This is an ongoing issue caused by many many things, not least a light can (and likely will) fog up a bit even if you have it 100% perfectly sealed.

A small amount of fogging (like pictured) this time of year is perfectly acceptable as there will be a temperature differential between the air inside the light and the air outside, coupled with the relative humidity in the UK this time of year will cause this effect. If it gets much worse then other factors can be at play, including a higher level of humidity within the boot which can be cause through leaky seals, ineffective drain plugs and so forth.

If the light itself doesn't fill with water during a rain storm then it might be fine, if it does then dry it out and replace the gaskets :thumleft:

Yeah, my 10 year old daughter and I had fun removing the lights, cleaning the crusty old gaskets off and blow drying the lights. Then we replaced the gaskets and refitted.

The condensation is ugly but not lethal.

But I can be a bit picky about these things so I would be surprised if I can actually wait until the summer to redo them!

The lenses can crack around the joint, shows up as a shiny line, if it's due to dampness in the boot, it may be worth while getting one of those dehumidifier cushion things (look like a small bean bag) and place it near the affected light

A few weeks ago my rear light had filled with about half an inch of water after a lot of rain (this was after a few weeks of bad misting). After taking it off I was expecting there to be more dirt round the gasket and clogging the channel.

After pouring all the water I could out of the bulb hole and leaving it overnight with a fan blowing air into it, there was still water moving around the very outside of the casing. Moving the light around in a certain way to make the water move onto the lens (like below) so it dried out better did the trick. However this caused dried out water marks :-k

Only once noticed a tiny bit of misting on the left side of the light at the very top since.
