Fitted japspeed rear toe control arms today, the bolts were seized solid, even with drilling one was easy the other was a pain (the one that was a pain was because i drilled it too well and I still had a wall of metal around the drill hole, the easy one was a little off center and had blown through the wall, so released easier) those suspension arms are scary, so rusted there couldn't be much left to them.
Led side lights, purple Led interior & puddle lights, pz grills, Ryan rotary performance coils, sump, engine mounts & sohn, HME engine rebuild at 50k, RRP exhaust & high flow cat, racing beat revi intake including scoop, quick shifter, alloy filler cap, pz alloys, suspension, mazdaspeed spoiler, japspeed toe arms & hardrace camber arms, RRP custom remap

The new arms are fine, they are more substantial than the standard arms, yet to drive the car as I just did a basic alignment with a straight edge across the wheel and measured the gap between straight edge and body,

Try using a thin string line / fishing wire from front wheel to back wheel - that should give you a better indication Image

Puzzled by this as the Varta E23 batteries seem to carry a 4 year warranty https://www.batteriesontheweb.co.uk/sho ... r-battery/

I "replaced" the Bosch battery in my Alfa after only 2½ years, because it wouldn't hold its charge.

I suspect that this was my fault as I'd allowed it to go totally flat, twice, after not realising that my battery conditioner defaulted to Off after power cuts.

Anyway, it was replaced under the 4-year warranty.

Were these Varta "replacements" also under warranty?

20 brake stomp last night, and gave it 15 mins at idle, to see if that would sort out p301 error as I can't find anything else at fault. Seems (fingers crossed) to have done the trick, plus I'd swear it's performance has improved.

Bit of plasti dipping , not used it before, found removing the excess to be rather frustrating as it kept catching the bits I wanted to remain.

I like the effect.

A good trick I found when doing badges etc is to degrease the area, badge and paintwork with IPA or Tec7 Universal Cleaner, allow to dry and then apply some silicon oil spray using a cotton bud to the paintwork, avoiding the edge of the badge.

The plastidip then sticks like sh*t to the badge and hardly at all to the paint.

Spray at least three light coats and let dry before you attempt to remove.

Looks good. How long did you wait before peeling? I find it's much easier to peel if left for a day (looks daft for said day, sure) as the dip itself cures properly and 'tightens'. You can then peel with a greater degree of care around the parts you wish to keep :thumleft:

Ah, that’s probably where I went wrong then, being impatient I only waited for a short while after the last coat.
I still have have the rear badges to do so with a combination of the advice from yourself and Warpcoil I should be able to make a better job of it. :thumright:

It's all trial and error really, but it's a nice quick way of changing the look of bits. You can run some glossifier over it if you'd rather a gloss finish, but mileage varies quite drastically in my experience with that...
