Today was a big day for my dear rx. Poor thing had been choking and sputtering everywhere we went. The culprit? A truly terrible exhaust that came attached to the car when I bought it.

That crack in the muffler was making it sound like a tambourine, a trumpet, and an elephant all at the same time. And in general it's just a bad piece of kit!
Ryan Rotary Performance to the rescue, with a full stainless resonated 200cpi cat and cat back system:
Fitting the new system was a breeze. It sounds and drives so much better now! Low down in the rev range it hums gently (if you can discipline your right foot), and f

ing screams like murder when it should

! There used to be a massive crack of a pop before, which has turned into a more refined "popple" of sorts. Nice burbles and the little triple mini pops are clearly heard, and I love it.
The best part, though, is the improved response and eagerness it has now. Feels like it's always ready to let rip, and there's no bad time to stomp the pedal. It's so much smoother. It was a fun drive before, but we now have achieved rotary nirvana!
So yeah, pretty chuffed!
Edited: replaced oringal google photos links with imgur ones, since the google images wouldn't load in tapatalk.
