Mine will be down there next week Neil, they're usually ok as long as it's nothing major.
Nick, your car is getting far too swish, and we need the colour changing to Velocity Melon.

Had them on the phone an hour after I dropped it off saying they couldn’t do the fuel pump seals as the technician didn’t have enough space to successfully fit the o rings?? So I told them to abort that.
So picked it up to find the fuel pump and fuel line issues were signed off ? No smell of fuel in the car Strangely
they had no air bags in stock Even though it was booked in almost two weeks ago. So I have to rebook it in at a later date. 🤬
Hopping to have some better luck next week when the blue one goes in. 🤨

As long as it's not costing you half of your net worth, there are more expensive love affairs out there don't worry.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Got it back from the garage with various brake system issues dealt with [mainly a siezed rear nearside caliper]. Garage man says he's had others in for similar problems, and suggested the salted roads had triggered these problems.
Filled it with shell's V-Plus [or whatever they call it] and a dose of 2T.
Beeped it coming up the hill near home, as it 's the only opportunity on a local trip, (and even then it's just a leeeeetle bit naughty).

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Not today but earlier this week:
Monday - checked her over in readiness for the dreaded MOT. Thought I might get a proviso on tyres but other than that looked ok.
Tuesday - mot day. Dropped her off, browsed around a dealership and garden centre and treated myself to a coffee whilst I fretted. No need, a pass and no proviso!
Wednesday - Went for my longest trip yet in RX. Oxford and back to take my son to see a consultant at Radcliffe hospital, an 80 mile round trip. I thoroughly enjoyed driving RX, though I couldn't be too racy as my son suffers chronic travel sickness!
Onto some of the project jobs now that I've got another years motoring sorted!

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
OSR tyre kept going down, NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO HAVE TYRE PROBLEMS MR MELON CAR.
I thought I fixed this by screwing the schrader valve in properly after getting them back from the tyre place.
Some more bubble water again showed it leaking from the valve still. Removed it, noticed the dirt on it, replaced with a new one, happy days.
Flushed the brake fluid now that the new pads are bedded in (pulls your eyeballs out of your sockets now, siiiiick) as I believe they've done 2 track days now. Plenty dark enough the stuff that came out.
I've been trialling Milers TRX Semi gearbox oil (it's very cheap) but I can't say it seems to have done the shifting many favours. Been contemplating a replacement gearbox it's been that bad (if new oil doesn't fix it).
Early days but the Millers TRX Fully Synth stuff (available at the Revs store) seems much better. Will maybe know more after the weekend.
Sorted out my battery relocate earth point as it was quickly bolted anywhere. Now on a rivnut under the passenger seat.
Also rivnutted another rivnut on the passenger A pillar for dash-cam to be semi-permenently mounted rigidly on a custom bracket I welded up.
Installed oil filter sandwich plate and a new oil filter as that hasn't been done since Nurburging (~6 months).
Now to get some engine bay tidying up, interior wiring and tidying up, and other little bits and pieces and I -should- be ready for Kendrew.
If anyone sees me around, come say hi and jump in for a few laps.
