Had my EDFC 2 Unit wired up for me. (£40 quid).
Then cut a hole in my ashtray so I could locate it somewhere it was reachable without being in the way.
Another job done.
Mine's in the glove box !
Doesn’t that make it hard to use while driving? Mine is above the climate control below the sat nav.

(was below the gear shifter on my old 8, but that was hard to use while moving).

In the glove box maybe , that's why I put it in the ashtray area.
The guy I bought it off had it in the glove box , so I guess its what suits really.

Planing to buy the EDFC stuff too, but after reading some reviews of that system on internet found out that people use AUTO mode and never touch that system, how is it on RX8 do you actually need to do some changes often or is it also you set it once and then it works? :D Because I want it to put somewhere in glovebox or in the small coin tray near steering wheel, just not to ruin OEM look of interior

I'm no expert on track but there are 3 memory settings to play around with !
Normally leave it on track setting for everyday driving Image

I’ve never figured out how to configure all the stuff for it to automatically do things. Seems like a hassle. I mostly stay in the same manual setting on the road (maybe switch between some settings if the road is really really bad, but usually not). On track I find it very useful though as you can easily adjust without getting under the bonnet etc.

Also thinking about how good this might be for changing settings for bad roads, do you suggest to make it softer on bad roads or harder? If the goal to save bodykit from breaking...

Simple fix is to send that photo to the manufacturers and they will send you a new one. I cannot remember who it is but somewhere on here there us a thread but hopefully someone who knows will spot your post.

I have started using it on the softest setting on the road as the roads around my area are shocking.
You can have 3 settings pre set. Ive gone for full soft ,medium setting and full hard.
My car is mainly for track days so I can ride soft on the way there and just press a button for the track, or try different settings dependant on weather, track surface etc if desired.
It just saves time to be honest and effort. If I had to adjust manually I would probably never bother so it works for me. :thumright:

Failed MOT today :( . Rear pads on one side less than 1.5mm.
Just picked up new pads I hope its just sticky slider pins or build up of brake dust.
At least the sports cat passed, the emmissions were my main concern.
Brake pads cheap cat not so

If the road is very bumpy I select a softer setting (I currently have four presets from hard to soft.. if I need more fine grained control, like at a circuit, I can dial in the values directly).

Good prices and prompt sales, can't fault it.
(But you need the code from the little paper sticker to place an order online.)

Have you seen the PistonHeads' shed of the week is an rx8?
Loads of vague negative comments about reliability and drinking oil [again!]
no mention of 4 doors and 4 adult seats.
Journos who don't check facts before publishing should be hung, drawn, and quartered!
I'm not even sure if soome of the comments are intended to be pros or cons!
Final para:-
"But you might be lucky. You might, this very weekend, be revelling in the comfort, LSD-boosted balance, syrupy-steering, 6.4-sec-to-60mph, gearbox-snicking zinginess of an RX-8, and all for less than the price of a diesel Focus. And that includes Mirrors External."

Syrupy steering!!??!!
(the 'Mirrors External' is a reference to a daft typo/item in the car's ad...)

I've run those on track to good effect as it lowers the final drive a little bit

They are indeed 225s, They still need scrubbing in, but damn when they’re good, they’re good! Got 2 at the paint shop at the moment (swapped the rears so I’ll be running all corners on them). Can not recommend them enough!

It's very satisfying to clean/polish half of something or one of a pair, so you can really see the difference.

Only problem is... you then have to do the other half...
