They are seriously heavy, but the heated seats are sooooooooooooooo good to have in the winter.

I had them on both Thursday and Friday evenings coming home from work late at night. Heaven!
Plan is to get lighter seats at some stage, but I'll miss this feature for sure!

Yeah but in the interest of weight saving, I'll be ditching this feature.
Would like to lose in the region of 50 kg.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Very true, I used to HATE going and putting Β£60 of diesel in my french Sh**box even though it would last 500 miles now I am at the petrol station a hell of a lot more but I don`t care because I actually like driving it.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
I don't even look now at how much Β£40 of super unleaded will cost, too depressing.
Changed my gearbox oil once again for Redline MT90 and the second time was the charm, shifting is a lot crisper and the noise at idle has gone.
Started raining really hard i the afternoon so went to the bathroom and polished the wing mirrors I painted, pleased with the result, regret not doing the rear wing in the warmth before fitting it to the car

Finally got the drivers seat installed to complete the change over to full leather seats, and yes I know I should have vacuumed the carpets!
The plastic rib bolsters don't show well in the photos but the change is quite significant, well I think so anyway.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Spent a whole day washing, claying, rinsing, drying and polishing even into the dark so no pics as yet.
Looks great though, and I have to say after using the clay mitt for the first time I'm so impressed, the water just beaded off.
Next weekend gearbox oil and maybe transmission oil

I am already terrified of brown envelopes anyway, already had 2 letters from HMRC in the last few months asking me for loads of money I apparently owe them
Avoided the wrath of the speed police so far though... havent had an rx8 long though

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
Really? wow I haven't had a clean licence since they introduced points here about a decade ago,not bragging, far from it When there was no points system here driving was great,i don't mean you could speed to your hearts content and not worry about being caught because you couldn't it's just that if you were all you got was a fine.
Also the paranoia that's now associated with points wasn't there in that you weren't checking your mirrors every 10 second ( come on we all do it ) for the law just in case you may have crept slightly over the speed limit,in fact nowadays the pleasure of driving has been hugely diminished because of the draconian system that's now in place with bloody cameras everywhere ( tho it's no way as bad here as it is in the UK ) and mobile speed traps ect ect
