I got those sizes from one of your previous posts :P (Your tyres are smaller than mine, so you should be fine)

Zippy, the reason I think Chris' is different is because your tyres were wedge shaped, and only on one axle. Chris' wear pattern is not consistent with simple toe, camber or compliance, and is on all four tyres. That's why I thought maybe rubbing. It's a puzzle, and I'd love to have a look at Chris' car to try to spot what's going on. (I'd be happy to put Chris' tyres on my car, because I'd expect to be able to run them for another 10k miles!).

My best guess at the moment is the combination of largish camber, lowish pressure, and P-Zero oddness, is making a bad combination.....

True dat - but it's an excuse for some show and tell of worn tyres

(and it could also be a small possible contributory factor?)

Had a goodbye drive.... :crybaby:

Well, for a month anyway! When I go away for this amount of time I do get preposterously excited towards the end about getting back and getting into the car. Silly sod. :thumleft:

Today, I fitted my rear centre sub between the rear seats. Strengthened and sealed the enclosure/cubby hole with rubber matting and epoxy. It's only a little 6.5 incher (cheeeeky) but it packs a punch wired in parallel with the centre front. Amplifier is on order and will get it wired up and get some pics on here next week.

So shinny!

Is the full beam blacked out or is it just a light tint on that section? Keen to see how the full beams perform with some tinting.

How about the indicator to? I've got Cree led in mine, so very clear and bright.

Trying to resist pulling mine apart, haha. Shame about the rears!

Yes, very shiny :) Sadly mine have a couple of small stone chips, so not brand-new-flawless, but still so much better than they were.

Main beams I don't know, not driven in the dark yet. They are lightly tinted, but don't think they will perform fantastically if I'm honest. I've got a spare headlight which I've received back opened up, so I'm going to experiment swapping the projector itself out with a bi-xenon one which will do main and dipped beams.

Indicator wise it works fine, I'm running some OSRAM W21W LED jobbies and they are plenty bright enought to be seen during the day. Just need to fix the hyper flash that they've induced as haven't put any resistors or anything in place.

And yes, sad about the rears... Might see about getting an old S1 rear light and practicing with a dremel as suggested by Warpc0il... That'll be an expensive moment, though lol

Wondering what the shell is made of - would a hot wire possibly leave a cleaner surface that'd be easier to mate back together?

After umming and ahhing for 3 years I picked up a set of 20mm and 15mm spacers off BigPete and fitted them yesterday :)
Had an "oh balls" moment when the studs on the spacers were too long for the OEM wheel nuts but remember I'd ordered a set of black nuts a couple of years ago but wasn't taken with them... Once I found them in my very tidy garage, all is well :)

Thinking about a steering wheel retrim next...

I likely will, looking at Goobie's post here which is swinging me;
http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/vi ... l#p1089657

It looks really nice but I think I'd like alcantara at the 9-3 position where I tend to hold the wheel the most... comments welcomed on this.

I personally chose not to go for alcantara at all, but considered 9-3 positions as you say - my reasonsing for this is that I sometimes end up with sweaty palms when driving and didn't think that would go well with alcantara...

After 21000 miles I thought I would look at the plugs, well actually I thought I would change them.

Very pleased with the even colour and amount of deposits on them front rotor on the left, rear rotor on the right

Also screwed the iPhone mount to the dash top so I can run Harrys Lap Timer as well as the dashcam. Plus I tethered the dash cam to the mirror mount with a mini and a large cable tie.
