Just renewed my Car Insurance for another year with
Chris Knott as I can't fault them what so ever
They are handling the Repair Bill at the moment that is going through regarding the damage that the other driver did to the GT86 on Saturday 8th February, so saw no point switching companies at this time
Renewal was £459 but unfortunately jumped to
£501 as I recently received 3 points on my license being caught for speeding on the M23 doing 91mph
I got Full PNCB and been driving since 1984

Just a quick one. I'll be insuring my 8 again in the end of October. Just wondering, for example, if my current policy expires 20th October, could I pay for the insurance to start on the 21st before my current policy has expired, and with that years no claims added on? Hope that's clear enough!

The only people who can answer that question are the people who are issuing the insurance

Ah, I see. Just trying to see if there's a general answer to it.

I always renew/find new quotes before my current insurance expires. On the basis that if the new insurer asks for proof of no claims then my old one can generally provide it straight away anyway. Has always been done automatically and as the "new" years no claims if that makes sense. As far as Im aware anyway... Though I always say I have X amount of no claims based on the years insurance ending.

Swapped my insurance from the Focus to the 8... At a cost of... No change to my premium what so ever... Only until feb left on this insurance anyway but thats a surprise I guess ahah.. Probably overpaying for the 8 now for a bit.

I just renewed mine, £780 with breakdown cover. Surprisingly reasonable for a 19 year old! Was £1300 last year with a black box, so a very good improvement and without a box!

Some of the quotes people at work get who are like 17 years old is insane... The focus was £450 with protected no claims etc. Next years 8s insurance non modified would be £300~ so... Overpaying a bit right now for sure.

I just got a quote from Adrian Flux and it was 800 a year! Even on the comparison sights its coming in at 350 lol
That was with the club discount, so wont ever be wasting my time calling them again.

Yes, last time I called Flux (after checking comparison sites and telling them how much I was being offered) the chap on the other end of the phone went "I'll be honest, probably worth looking elsewhere" as it was coming out 2/2.5x more expensive.
I'm sure if you've got something super special it's competitive, but for average Joe it would seem not. Still, no harm in calling them I suppose.
