Was 631 now 483 😁
Same here. Renewal on 3 cars now cheaper than the 2 were last year!

I think my quote with Hastings was around the £480 mark for a brand new policy, but I've just added it to my existing policy for my other car so it was reduced to about £425.

Which for a 22 year old isn't bad I don't think? It's the road tax which hurts, not the insurance!

Just renewed with Aviva £212 fully covered and mods declared. Makes the tax more acceptable at that price point.

When Tesla first came to the market they offered their own insurance, probably underwritten by one of the big names, but it was less than half the price of anyone else and included some EV-specific cover features.

Has that now gone, since they became mainstream?

Just paid for Flow Insurance who are part of LV for the Tesla @£705.95 (Policy starts 11th May 00:00)

Gave up with Directline, as they never emailed me the info after being on the phone with them :x , and as for Churchill, well they just wouldn't budge on the £762.69 renewal figure :!: :!:

There loss and Flow's gain =D> =D> =D> =D>

£240 with admiral multicover for the R3. Considerably less than LV on the merc too. Total saving £300 from renewal with LV for all 3 cars at just under £700.

Insurance shock today. Been a few incidents involving theft of and from cars in my area. As a result Hastings will no longer cover me here, and the insurance I ultimately took is £200 more than last year. £750, but I reckon that’s ok given the car and the area.

Did you check with FLOW which is the online only arm of LV

Just renewed my insurance. £70 per month, 2500 miles. Seeing as I'm 20 with 3 years NC I don't think that's too bad.

Got my multi car renewal through for pug and RX8
£640 now from last years £480 ☹️

Quick look around at separate policies seems to suggest I could easily knock 90 quid off...

Insurance Quotes

Post by GreySilver Beast »

Just taken out a new car insurance policy with Darwin Gold [part of Churchill] which includes 11yrs NCB Protected with 15,000miles per year at £831.48 - start date 11th May 2023 :thumleft:

My renewal with Flow insurance [part of LV] was over £1,000 based on 2yrs NCB at 10,000miles per year :!: They wouldn't budge giving me a quote on a new policy using the 11yrs NCB Protected that had built up on the GT86, so their loss

By the way Tesla's cost on average about £300 more to insure than a ICE vehicle, which is absolutely bonkers :!: :!: :!: :!:
