Impreza premium is "impressive" the RX8 premium not so!

£251 fully Comp with protected no claims, extra legal cover and courtesy car for me and wifey on SLK 5
Also have group policy for 5 cars, 3 drivers with Admiral that I have to argue with every year. Got additional £385 off this year for querying.

With Mods declared.

Handy to be old(er) I guess. Others came close. Brokers came back at £400+ AF / sky 🤷‍♂️

The M3 V8 420bhp fully comp costs me £247:50 yet and RX8 fully comp with all mods declared, agreed value £15k and 4 track days costs £647. The SC & 300bhp is the main cause of that.

Just got a quote off flux for the 8 for a years insurance. Protected no claims, 10k miles a year and obviously my modifications... Anyone care to guess?

Answers behind the spoiler...
Spoiler:
£494

Which isn't terrible! £130 more than highstreet insurance if it wasn't modified. Going to try REIS sometime next week just to gauge a better idea of things..

Insurance runs out in a month so thought I'd check renewal quotes for a months time with all the new mods declared I'm 23 driving for a year and a years no claims now so keep that in mind (my current insurer won't insure me next year with or without mods declared)

Current insurance is £175.49 a month

New Quote £125.79 a month

Not to bad if you ask me a nice £50 saving a month

2 more years and you'll be out of the "risk" age group. Biggest change along side no claims bonus for me tbh.

Not horrible! I, admittedly, was running a black box for my first year with my 8 when I was 19/20. Fortunately that particular box must've been faulty, I beeped many a time and it never flared up on the system. I believe that was around £1200 for the year.

Renewal from Flux has come in at £435, £50 more than last year. Any recommendations on a decent competitor. Need to change the quote anyway, just got married and a few bits being chucked on the car when we get home.
Also, for the club member discount, do you need to quote your membership number as I haven't received one yet?

With Reis not insuring under 25's and Adrian Flux' price going up from last year's £740 to a whopping £905, I've just been quoted £693 (up to £804 since I'll have to pay monthly this time around) with Sterling Insurance.

I wonder how much the increase in cat theft claims is responsible for the rises in premiums, as it's been hitting their profits #-o

To be fair, I phoned up flux today and had a moan. Managed to get another £60 knocked off. Which half will end up going back on when I move next month. Typical.
7 years no claims, reasonable postcode, 8k miles, commuting, fully comp on other cars and all mods declared (obviously). £370.
That'll do.

Been phoning round today since I'm up on the 16th June currently pay £175.49 a month

No Black boxes and value of the car increased due to mods:

Adrian flux over £600 a month w/mods declared
Admiral £124 a month w/mods declared <--- Probably going with Admiral

If I didn't have mods Hastings would have renewed my policy for £84 a month   which I thought was a mega good price

Cars now insured via Flux. Gave greenlight a ring and the agent asked me how much I was being quoted for so far as modified etc. I gave him the figure £450 which Flux quoted me previously (without protected no claims) and he said they couldn't even come close to that and told me to ring Flux and take their quote because it was just too good. Which I did.

Paying monthly isn't ideal but itll do for now. :p

My insurance is due on 16th June. Flux has gone up a little this year but includes all mods and agreed value and fully comp on all other vehicles I drive as long as they aren't from the same household.

Will have to call around to see if I can get it any cheaper.

Just gone to add Sarah to my insurance on her Adam as she wants some practice over the summer. Historically this has been easy.

For Admiral I added her as a second Lerner driver -£100

My old house mate add me to theirs - £25

Adrian flux don't do this. They require a whole separate policy for the learner - £800.15

Looks like I'll be swapping at least the Adam in November.

Recently got the RX8. I have 2 other cars with their own NCD. Zero NCD on the 8, cost me £280 with esure even though 1 claim declared (third party hit one of my other cars).
