Phew! The last 20 miles were fairly nerve-racking! Had to settle for Esso's finest! Took 63.92 litres at just over £90!

Finally did it after 7 years! It was a bit nervy for the last 10 miles but I genuinely pulled onto the garage forecourt at 300.1.

Those last few miles are spent trying to be somewhere it's possible to stop almost straight away and the tension is incredible!

I never usually set the trip meter (it’s usually best not to know) but I was going away for the weekend and for some reason I set it. When I checked the trip meter on the way out of London it looked like it was a possibility. The last 10 miles had me sweating. The needle was below the bottom marker when I got to the garage. I’ve done it once so I do not intend to do it again.

Haha, with aircon off and on a long motorway run 400 is doable. I've done it twice :)

Baaah so close! 297.1 miles and the fuel gauge was near as damn it right on low, was tempted to go round the Tesco car park to make it but thought better of it, woulda looked like a right plonker if I ran out of fuel in a car park...
