RX8 underbody inspection and repair

This is an RX8 that we have inspected today, owner's concern being the rust.
We have been told that the owner has had the car in another garage that had to redo the subframes and put the car thru an mot.
Apparently they had the car for a long period, have done the subframes (good job,thumbs up).but did not mention to the owner anything about the rust and put the car thru an mot which the car has obviously failed.
Another big concern that we had is that some arms have been replaced on the back but no tracking bolts or washers have been used with result that there is no way to get the car proper aligned.
We will keep you updated with progress as we go thru repairing this vehicle but until then enjoy the video which is very very interesting to say the least!

I know I shouldn't laugh, but the point of "it's bad, very bad, big hole" followed by "oil lines f*cked" got me.....no sugar coating that, yeah it's bad bad bad and then the technical term for beyond bad "f*cked"

It's crazy how they spent money on the sub frames and completely ignored the rust!.

In that case, the "donor car" that sits at the bottom of our garden is far from "beyond saving" as it's not nearly as bad as that.

It was sold by the previous owner as having "an ECU fault" diagnosed by a self-proclaimed JDM-specialist, who had removed just about everything electrical from the engine bay and left it inside the cabin/boot, during their attempt to diagnose the fault. When then gave up they delivered it back to the owner, forgetting about the steering lock as they pushed it off the trailer, and demolished his brick gate post with the osr door!

if only they'd noticed the wiring to the rear O2 sensor melted onto the cat, they could have saved everyone a lot of trouble.

It is crusty underneath but no major holes, yet....
