Why did I ask about Battery cable? Ive been offered a VArta E24 [4 not 3] battery which was wrongly ordered, not required, so is cheap for me [and I need to replace my current E23].
It's the same spec as the E23 I believe, 70Ah, 630A, same dimensions, but the terminals are on the other way round - swapped.
So I thought, no problem, the neg will reach easily, and I'll extend the positive lead to reach the terminal nearer the front of the car.
I've now noticed that the fuse and bits next to the + terminal are fixed to the battery box. Is this a fatal flaw in my plan, or is there enough room for this to work, please?

Got given a clean bill of health from Robert, there are a couple of crusty patches but all is super solid he said.

Then picked up a racing beat exhaust from Dan 45 minutes down the road.

Drive back was great, apart from no brakes! Due to the over spray. Think I'm going to pull the pads out and de grease everything before Snetterton, otherwise things might go a bit wrong,,,,

Thats strange, normally any over spray is minimal. Have you tried a couple of good hard braking sessions to get the brakes good and hot?

Mine were like that for the drive back after Krown and I think the subsequent drive but cleared after. Mine didn't need any extra work.

Maybe just go for a drive after a day or two once the drips are almost done, and do a few 60-20 mph brakes before doing anything specific on the calipers?

Today saw the final stages of stripping out the old 192, almost ready to start fixing up the Nemesis.

Anyone got any ideas how you remove the rear windscreen without smashing it?ImageImageImage

So yesterday was spent in the lovely countryside at Robs using his very generous offer of the use of his lift, the result was, Wills suspension changed from standard(with kyb shocks) to pz (with the much appreciated help of Rob) and installation of oil cooler lines from the club organised supplier, it was a long day(for me I set out at 8 in the morning and got home just after midnight) but we were subject to fantastic hospitality (cups of tea, bacon rolls and pizza) and then given a guided tour of Robs "little" project his fantastically finished holiday home(available to book, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle into peaceful countryside)
Suffice to say I believe Will is pleased with his improved ride quality and the knowledge that his oil cooler lines aren't about to become porous.
Good company if a little cold eh? Will.

Gave it a good clean and a quick spray on wax. The paint work is so tatty unfortunately, because the majority is beautiful when its clean and the sun hits it. Randomly bought a little Mazdaspeed badge years ago when I first bought the MS body kit and decided to whack it on. Exhaust tips look great when they're polished too, just a shame that spitting flames covers them in carbon very, very quickly.

Made a big list of things that need doing. A lot regarding the body kit. Need to get those front splash guards back on asap and find a way to stop a lot of the flex in the front. Also need to get the rear off and cut out the back box heat shield as with a light tap of the rear valance you can hear it rattling against the body work.

Went to airsoft yesterday in the 8 first time I've gone in my car safe to say a lot of people loved it had people talking to me all day about it... getting the car of the field after the rain was interesting defiantly got the car muddy trying to get out of that one hahah

Did notice I had a squeak in the engine bay after parking up at home though popped the bonnet sounded like it was coming from the pulleys / belts

The traction control should have cut in and you should have been able to have you foot flat to the floor and the system would automatically maximise any traction available.
