Most of those gaps should be sealed by rubber/foam inserts.

Some get lost when people work on the cars, either because they're just in a state and/or because people don't realise how important they are to airflow and cooling.

Armaflex is a good alternative

Sorted the N/S headlamp today, decided to hide the etch primer can so as not to make the same mistake as the O/S headlamp.

A bit more effort required with this one as it had surface scratches as well as UV fogging.

Started with 400 grit wet&dry, claning betwen each stage I then moved on to 800, then 1200 (unnecessarily), then 1500.

Finished with 3000 and pad polished to a shine with G3 compound.

Sealed with UV Resistant clear coat.ImageImageImage

Bit more modding today on the Exhaust pods rings

[url=https://ibb.co/f4Fe2U][img]https://preview.ibb.co/hcqCNU/988852_84 ... ps0pjqavng.

As the exhaust extend the pods by some 10.3 cm the rings will built up to extend the pod 6.3 leaving only 4cm tip exposed ;)

more pic to follow

thank you for taking the time to look ;)

Changed the plugs today, didn't look that bad (about 10k on them) fitted my ebay plugs that I won for £25(used but took off the car due to not curing issue(sellers words) looked in good condition) hadn't noticed any lack of power with old plugs, but car seems to have found a bit more get up and go, just have to get used to my newly installed short shifter now.

Which reminds me I must fit the one I have had sitting on my bench for weeks now. MOT due in October.

Treated it to an oil and filter change
Managed to squeeze 4.25 litres out of the sump plug, with it jacked up on the passenger side

That’s the pro’s way or doing it , I used panels grips ( vice grips for holding panels together for welding) and eased them around the arch , very rough . I never knew such a tool existed , good on you
