Rob's Restorative Ramp

Post by willberry70 » Tue Jul 02, 2019 7:37 pm

Just back from goodeggrob's place in Wales.

An amazing trip to a wonderful venue fill of RX8s :D

Massive thanks to goodeggrob for his hospitality, ramp and quite a lot of car sealant spray :thumright:
Plus sprayed up my universal joint and greatly lightened my steering :thumleft:

Enjoy the pics, you'll be weeping with envy :D

One of these is literally the view from the kitchen window.

thanks Will, now you have seen how easy it is to access all those box sections, it really is silly not to do it,especially as the emphasis seems to be shifting towards rust protection .
just to confirm,my ramp is always available to members wishing to use it ,foc, just buy me a pint, rob.

Some say he actually breeds RX-8s from a rotary lawnmower and a large stoat. All we know is, he's a good egg..

And your place is in a stunning part of Wales.
I have a good friend a little further up in Llanfynydd, next time I'm up that way I'll have to pop in for a cuppa. :thumright:

I should definitely visit my mother in Whitchurch for a weekend (I actually do reasonably regularly) and then come over for a day of fun with sealing compounds!

Nige, that had actually crossed my mind. we could combine car underside inspections with a barbie, with those not on the ramp cooking burgers.

I wouldn't suggest underside inspections with Nigel about who knows what might happen. Even the sheep might blush Image

On a serious note that's a great idea and something I do need to do myself. I can't seem to get the eBay link to work which underseal are you guys using?

You would need to supply your own lubricant, thats not on the house, also the sheep are well used to groups. ;)

morning all, just as a side note, the stuff i am using to protect my cars is my own choice based on my efforts at protecting my ford capri. obviously it is not a gaurantee that it is suitable for everyone, but it has worked well for me,rob.

How about doing a vid of the waxoil process being carried out ,showing where to inject it etc.
Might be useful for others.

who,me? if you knew just how much effort it was to write this, you would know that would be way beyond my abilities. i am a tech dinosaur, but i love it that way. Good idea though, maybe someone with the skills could do it while using the ramp,i could be the director. :thumleft:
