RAYS G-Games 99b
18 x 8.5 et30
245/40/18
Tein S-tech lowering springs (think they're -20mm or so?) on standard OEM replacement shocks
Wheels are cast but Rays "Flow Formed" process is used so they're really light and strong, don't remember the exact numbers off the top of my head but they're lighter than the stock rims, noticeably so even just lifting them up with the old arm scales, though they did have different tyres on. Feel really nice to drive, more "eager" to go if that makes sense!
Fitment wise, the setup is the equivalent of stock rims with 26.3mm spacers, and with these tyres there's a slight bit of rubbing on the rear arch when going over larger bumps with just me in the car, which is fine but surprised me given they're not as aggressive in either numbers or looks as some of your set-ups. No rubbing on the front as far as I can tell, but as I discovered a few weeks ago, with the car fully loaded with 4 people + luggage the rear arches sit on the tyres rendering the car un-driveable

Very nice. They look sort of oem while being sufficiently different.
The slight reduction in offset, combined with the increased width, fills the arches well.
However, the lack of rim protection on those tyres must make parallel parking, especially on a curve with gnarly curb stones, a bit of a challenge

Thank you, they are an "of the era" style I have been told. Strangely the ride isn't too different going to 19s, probably as I had some horrid threadbare ditch finders on it from the previous owner.warpc0il wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 1:09 pmVery nice. To be honest I have just avoided parallel parking so far, its the new white shirt issue, no matter how careful I am I will get ketchup all over it ! Or scratches on the wheels.
