Farewell

Post by sparkos » Tue Aug 27, 2019 2:47 pm

Well folks after 15 years of RX8 ownership (5 yrs with an S1 and 15 yrs with an R3) its time to say goodbye and move onto something else.

Whilst i have made very few posts over that timeframe, the help and advice i have received has been very welcome and appreciated. ;)

The car is being traded in on Friday for something with a bit more grunt and torque but still RWD.

Its a great club and there are some very good people who are on here.

Take care and keep those motors spinnin'

Best regards to all

No need for it to be goodbye. Whilst we might point and laugh whilst they are not looking, we still talk to people who have moved onto something else.

Good luck with whatever you decide to move to next. :)

Well,

After much thought, test drives and financial calculations i have decided to buy a 17 plate BMW M4 competition pack.

Pick it up this friday from Harry Fairbarin in Kirkaldy Scotland. Had it out for a test drive yesterday - all i can say is WOW - very quick to say the least.

Loaded with over 9K worth of extras, DCT, park assist, led icon headlights, 360 cameras, extended merino leather etc etc. Sakir orange in colour which should polish up well and around 100 quid a year cheaper on road tax.

To say i am rather exited is an uderstatement but i will miss the sound of the rotary. Its like waiting for x-mas when i was just a lad.

Will post up some pics after i get it home.
