So Sills...

Post by willberry70 »

So do they just pop off with some leverage?
And then press back on?
I should check for corrosion, treat if required, and spray with waxol.
Then they clip back on?

I'm assuming you mean the plastic guards? not the metal bit ....

but to remove them you have to undo a couple of anchor screws at the front and they slide off a plastic bayonet type of fixing
in my experience you'll generally be horrified at what you find......

By remove screws, I assume you mean drill out :P

Or reach into the front wing and pop them out.

If they don't want to slide, a ruler stabbed inward to release the outer of the 2 clips and pry'd down can work.

Probably take half of the rear sill with it, but at least that would answer one of your questions.
