Link from calendar to topic.
As an active forum user i have found that none of the club organised events have a link from the calendar to the topic. This might be ok for active users who know of the upcoming events, but is surely an obstacle to those less active.
Having asked previously to have the calendar linked to our monthly meet topic, i simply assumed that the club run events would be there as a matter of course and was very surprised to find no link at all to any of them. I stumbled across this by chance recently when looking for info on the Peak District run, and was surprised to find that i had to use advanced search to find it. Whilst this is easy enough for me, what about infrequent users or people new to the forum?

Will is currently on his honeymoon. As EC he has control over the calendar so I'm sure he'll sort it when he gets back

Re: Link from calendar to topic.
It doesn't really need a bump, as its not a message for the wider forum, so doesn't need to remain on active topics...? Lol

Re, Above Comment.
Given that our Events Coordinator is away at the moment and that you obviously have the necessary skills required to sort this calendar link out, do you not think that the time you invested in your reply on my thread could possibly have been better spent resolving this issue on his behalf, thus reducing the backlog of work he will have to face on his return.
I'm sure that would both be appreciated by him and by the club in general and reduce both the backlog on his return and the risk of the club and some events crumbling still further.
I know you are very busy, but investing time on actually doing what is actually required behind the scenes is more important don't you think.

Re: Link from calendar to topic.
That's not possible, as I cannot edit events that have been created by others.
The personal nature of that attack is not required at all.

Re: Link from calendar to topic.
Had the above post contained the first line only, i would have thanked you for your swift and informative reply.
However, the second line leaves me needing an explanation as to which part of my post could be construed as PERSONAL or an ATTACK.

If you can't see it, there's not much point in explaining it.
Have a good evening.

Re: Link from calendar to topic.
Well, i've looked and cannot see it, or is it just my posts in general that are not to your liking?, this wouldn't be the first time, i still carry a suspended sentence for previous encounters. Also, thanks for keeping the topic bumped, it's saved me the bother, Lol.
