Thanks Mitz96.... just one more member to break into the 20s. That would be ideal....though 30 even better. Free club day out, rx8 is not needed to be present if you wish to bring something else. The majority of time will be inside.

I want to race round the car park but I'm guessing that's not allowed . Remember last year there were car transporters in the way anyway...

Re: AGM 2024 - BMM Sunday 19th May
I believe last year we commandeered an area anyway for ourselves. Though this year I am thinking we could likely get a row closer to the main entrance. On walking down there, it was emptier than expected.RichT_Derby wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:00 amI want to race round the car park but I'm guessing that's not allowed . You can have partner members linked to your account for less. Currently £21 per year and would allow her to have food, drink etc at events same as you and subsidised meals etc at events. Basically any perks you get, she would also be entitled to.

Re: AGM 2024 - BMM Sunday 19th May
Hi, I would like to attend again this year please and would book a + 1 to be confirmed. One quickie - I am dairy and gluten intolerant and there was not a lot of that noticeable last year, although the crisps were excellent. Not a grouse but could easily have turned up with my own sarnies had I known. You guys do a hell of a lot without needing to be too picky about lunch.
I may get the hang of this one day??

Noted. Will pass onto the EC. I would think most places should ask this? Whether they would change some form of catering is the question....auditt235 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:53 pmHi, I would like to attend again this year please and would book a + 1 to be confirmed. All the places I ever dealt with on the clubs behalf would provide food for people with allergise no problem at all
People with allergise (not dislikes or trends ) should say so in advance so someone can arrange with the venue
Regards

Re: AGM 2024 - BMM Sunday 19th May
Apologises, I can't make that weekend, which is a shame as I'd like to forward a motion that all club platforms are connected!
Since getting to be more involved in the club, I've found it odd that the Facebook page that's affiliated to the Forum serves very little use at all. Were as the club page run by Ann, which gives instant access for members [and non members] is buzzing, but can't be activated via the club website. Also the Facebook page linked to the website is not open for members to use!
I know there are members of the committee who have no interest in Facebook and of course Facebook for many is great way to show off to friends, photos of you sunning it up in Malaga for four weeks, while someone else sees it as a golden opportunity to ransack your home while your away!
Joking apart, if used as another form of communication alongside the Forum, it will no doubt benefit the club. I used Facebook to see if I could drum up those interested in joining local area meets and I had fifty replies. I've also doubled the amount of interest, by using Facebook, for those who want to attended the up and coming meet I've organised in May.
I understand that far more information can be given to members by using the Forum, but you have to go searching and I have sometimes missed things like the.... Japfest sell out!
It is important to use any means the club can to bring in new members and Facebook is just one of several platforms available.
