I will be eating in the hotel and will have a table booked for those who don't wish to go on a Fish & Chip Drive Out

Probably have the table(s) booked from 7:30pm approx in my name

Alan et all, a table will be booked at Steeles Corner House for 6pm therefore I propose we leave the hotel at 5:15pm which should then see us get back to the bar in the hotel by 9pm to join the others.

How about a short 30 minute drive over to Cleethorpes for 6pm to have the best fish and chips at https://steelscornerhouse.co.uk/ where the Jumbo Haddock does not fit on the plate

Do the chips come on a separate plate? Sometimes it can be an elementary schoolboy error to go jumbo if it means you get robbed of a proportional amount of chips (Not something I have spent a lot of time researching like .... ) Also the BEST chippy is Hadleys in Whitby, but this is a roundabout way of saying

Me and Katie, hotel Fri/Sat, second best FnC's in the world on Fri, dinner on Sat.

Typical “everything is better in Yorkshire” from a Yorkshiremen but having lived in York and worked in Bradford I will add that I agree the fish and chips are excellent and Hadleys are superb so your review of Steele’s will be interesting.
Hopefully my memories from the mid 70s will be proved accurate, if not your evening drinks (Stu & Katie) are on me!

I got confused but you knew what I meant - the £5 discount applies so it is £25 rather than £30

Anyway Lisa is now signed up as a partner member and her novice session paid for.

Lisa keeps looking at RX-8s and threatening to buy one so please can I ask fellow members to dissuade her from this - we don't have room or £££ for another one!!
