I will need to replace my tyres prior to this event and was considering these :
Federal 595 RS-R
235/40 ZR18 91W
Can I have some opinions whether these are suitable for both road and track use please.

Many of us use Federal RSR. Some for track only and others for road as well.
They are on my car permanently and they perform well.
You do need to get a bit of heat in them to be at their best and they are not great in the wet.
Never caused me a problem but just need a little extra caution when cold and or wet.
Great tyre on track so a very good compromise.

I'm a bit concerned about noise regs on track.
Currently running a decat and Toyo catback............no idea how loud it is or isn't .

I have them too on a separate set of alloys. After driving down to castle Combe and back I was glad to put my Bridgstones back on for the Wales meet and drive out, great tyres on track but much harder drive and I felt a lot more bumps etc so the Bridgstones made it much more pleasurable on a long drive out in the countryside. Nothing wrong with them at all and fantastic around track but a bit harder than normal

I have a Toyo also (I think looks right not found/looked for markings) and this is also a concern for me.

It depends what noise noise limit is at 3 sisters but a decat and toyosport cat back is normally ok for trackdays.

It really depends on the type of decat.
- a straight-thru pipe with a Toyo catback and you're a fail
- a single resonator or an oem ghetto decat and you might be okay
- a dual resonator and you should be fine.

Looks like my current setup is a fail then.

Straight through pipe and Toyo catback

3 Sisters is 105dB static, 98dB drive-by.

Anyone with similar setups been tested and remember their values?

I had a scorpion and decat and I got 92 dB at Combe. I presume Toyo is much louder? As this is a full backbox and similar / the same as the PZ

Guys if you're in doubt MSVT and most other track day operators will do you a noise check for free. Just head along to the nearest track day and ask.

105dB is louder than most track days. In theory my race car sneaks inside 105dB...

I've been at three sisters before when they allowed drifters on track too and some of them were running straight piped systems deafeningly loud and that never caused an issue so to be honest I don't think they actually care about the noise limit there anyway

If you have a track near you you'll no doubt be able to pop along to a trackday there and have your car sound tested free of charge. I've done this in the past too

On that note, when there's an AGM that's within 2-3 hours drive I'll be there. The Kendrew Barracks track day last year was a blast. This one's too far for me to want to commit to. Wishing you all an awesome time though.

Thanks to the events team/committee for organising it. These things involve such a lot of work so far in advance.
