Michael's nismo

Post by Harris-5310 »

Hi guys
As some of you may have seen at Christmas I treated myself to a new car. After looking at loads of different makes I finally settled on a 2017 Nissan 370z nismo. When I got her it was standard with 16045 miles on the clock. Since then I have fitted her with new Michelin ps4s, updated the brakes with EBC slotted discs and yellow stuff pads and fitted k&n typhoon intakes and still to fit a uprated oil cooler.

Car cleaning guru on YouTube has recently got one of these as an upgrade from his blue Volvo and I do rather like them.

He also has a video showing how much room there is to get all his detailing stuff inside, worth a look if you haven't explored the load capacity yet (I have no idea why you would!)

This is a hairdressers car! Well specifically my hairdresser ( he'd probably prefer to refer to himself as a barber :D )

Was talking to him about cars one day and he said he had a 370z, but he never told me he had a Nismo. Saw him driving it one day, and thought cool, he kept that quiet that he has the Nismo version. But then I guess unless in the know most peeps wouldn't know about specific versions, much like most peeps wouldn't know about a PZ for example, so maybe he doesn't divulge unless necessary. I haven't seen him since lockdown so I'm sure I'll talk to him about it when I see him, I expect the post lockdown haircut to be a long one....

Before my RX8 I bought a 200sx. The suspension on it was knackered and it made for some scary moments. I put Nismo suspension on it, and it handled amazingly after that. Always kept an eye on Nismo cars since then. If you don't mind me asking, since you've had both, how does this car handle vs the RX8? I did try a standard 350z around the time I bought mine but I felt the rx8 had the edge on handling, whereas the 350z accelerated quicker.

That is very nice. I have Drive a normal 370z some years and was really impressed with it, loads of grunt and lovely N/A 6 cylinder sound.
Your Nismo looks really special.

Lol I've had a hairdresser car before this in the shape of a mk1 audi tt 225. And as to the comparison I loved my rx8 for the sound of it as you rev the hell out of it and on track it handled like well and on the road never had any issues with the traction control on and with the 370z I've not had it on the track yet so cant say but on the road it pick up speed so quick and when your in the top rev range which is 7k it screams and with the traction control on you can still get it side ways but there is 120bhp between them.

Awesome. I might have to get this for my daughter to make during this lockdown. Killing 2 birds with one stone, keeping her busy and me getting a nice model car at the end of it!

I tried yesterday tea time with the simple yellow RX8 with my three.

3yr old just cut the paper randomly into pieces
4yr old roughly cut some then gave up
6 year old neatly cut out one piece and then said I'm done..
