Some weird Frankenstein of Yaris front and corolla rear, interesting.

More hot hatches always makes the world a better place, if slightly more concerning for the 8 owner.

All depends on price and whether the uk gets the track pack with proper front and rear mechanical lsds.
Its gotta be under £30k imo to be a hit.

On Autocar's Twitter thread about it there are a few questions about the power output and whether it will be in the UK. They've answered by saying the 257bhp and its availability has been sent through by Toyota (UK) not just Toyota globally, so while the usual scepticism about press releases applies, it suggests it will come here.

Only £25k for all that??? You couldn't re-create it for less than £30k.

This car is definitely coming to the UK but there will be a basic version that should be priced under 30k and then a Performance Pack that will take it over 30k :thumleft:

Yes I wouldn't say know, but unfortunately it's too small for my needs :(

It's all over Toyota UK FB Social Media today and I know of at least one person who has already offered to put a Deposit down for the new car

Adverts like this make me extra dubious of the reasons for sale. Selling something like that makes me suspect an underlying flaw (ECU gremlins/handles like a dog etc). Even if you got divorced and needed extra money you'd surely still not sell this and store it somewhere instead right? After all the money put into it and it apparently being that special and awesome.

I just don't get it. Maybe they just wanted to have it as a project and don't actually enjoy the drive.

3 cylinder too. Yep, the engine will be strained to hell. Another modern turbo that might make the Renesis look reliable.

For some people it's the build and the journey that appeals rather than the finished article
